Volunteer Opportunities
Last year, volunteers worked over 1,500 hours – That’s the equivalent of more than 185 unpaid staff days! Here are some popular ways that volunteers can help:
House Greeters/Receptionists
Make every effort to ensure a comfortable, positive experience for our guests. They spend time with the families, do office work, clean and answer phones.
Grounds Work
Plant flowers and do general yard clean-up to help keep the grounds a tranquil environment for guests to enjoy.
Caring Chefs
Prepare an evening meal for the SALH guests. After a long day at the hospital or clinic, a hot meal is a welcome gift for the families.
Special Events
Work at one of our fundraising events, where volunteers are always needed. The events are held throughout the year to raise money for Lighthouse programs and you may participate in as many as you wish.
