Guest Qualifications
All Guests must live outside Duval County and be a relative of/caregiver for a patient in a Jacksonville area hospital or be an outpatient receiving ongoing outpatient testing/treatment at an area medical facility. All guests must be able to fully care for themselves or have a caregiver staying with them.
Room requests are accepted from hospital social workers or physicians’ offices only. Please ask them to submit a Referral on your behalf. Requests are accepted 48 hours in advance of need and placed on our waiting list. We are not able to reserve rooms in advance.
Room requests are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Rooms are assigned daily on a space availability basis to families on the waiting list.
Each room can accommodate up to two people. (minimum age = 16) Most rooms have 2 twin beds. One room has one double bed. The downstairs bedroom has a private bath and is handicapped accessible. The three upstairs bedrooms share 2 full baths. There is no elevator, but a chair-lift is available for guests who have difficulty climbing stairs.
The house requests a nominal contribution of $25 per night for lodging and a $5 once-per-visit room cleaning fee. The cleaning fee is assessed on the first night. Payments may be made by cash, check, Master Card or VISA.
Length of stay is limited to 60 consecutive nights. Exceptions are made only in extenuating circumstances. Approval must be granted by the Executive Director.
